Oberoi Group to Partner with Ladhani Group for Two Luxury Resorts in Rishikesh

The Oberoi Group has unveiled plans to develop two luxury resorts in Rishikesh, marking a significant step in its expansion within Indiaβs hospitality sector. This initiative will see the creation of an 80-key Oberoi "Vilas" resort and a 120-room Trident resort, both designed to harmonize luxury with the natural beauty and spiritual essence of the region.
Strategic Location and Design
Set on a sprawling 60-acre site, the resorts will be uniquely positioned with the Ganges river enveloping them on three sides. This prime location aims to enhance the guest experience by providing a serene environment that integrates nature and spirituality. The architectural vision for the resorts is led by renowned architect Bill Bensley, known for his ability to blend world-class hospitality with local heritage.
Management and Development Partners
The resorts will be managed by EIH Ltd., the parent company of the Oberoi Group. This development is part of a broader long-term growth strategy that includes 19 properties, which consist of 16 hotels, two luxury boats, and a Nile cruiser, all set to be completed by 2029. The Oberoi Vilas will be developed by Devprayag Ganges Resorts Pvt Ltd., while the Trident Resort will be constructed by Jamuna Hotel Enterprises Pvt Ltd., both of which are subsidiaries of the Ladhani Group.
Commitment to Cultural Preservation
S.N. Ladhani, Chairman of the Ladhani Group, has emphasized the project's dedication to preserving the cultural and natural significance of Rishikesh. This commitment is crucial in a region known for its spiritual heritage and natural beauty, ensuring that the development respects and enhances the local environment.
Future Outlook
The construction of these luxury resorts is anticipated to commence in early 2026. With the Oberoi Group's focus on expanding into premier destinations, this project is expected to elevate the hospitality offerings in Rishikesh, attracting both domestic and international tourists seeking luxury experiences.
Practical Takeaway
For potential investors and homebuyers interested in the luxury segment, the development of these resorts signals a growing trend in high-end hospitality in Rishikesh. As the area continues to attract affluent visitors, there may be opportunities for investment in related real estate and hospitality ventures in the region.
