Runwal Enterprises has officially appointed Rakesh Setia as the Chief Executive Officer for its luxury segment. In this strategic leadership role, Setia will be responsible for driving the growth of the company’s high-end portfolio while also overseeing the core functions of sales, marketing, and customer relationship management (CRM). He is set to operate out of the organization’s corporate headquarters in Sion, Mumbai.


Setia’s transition to Runwal comes after a successful tenure at the Rustomjee Group, where he served as the President of sales, marketing, and CRM. His appointment is seen as a move to strengthen Runwal’s position in the competitive luxury real estate market by leveraging his extensive expertise in scaling businesses and recalibrating brand directions.


With a career spanning more than three decades, Setia possesses a diverse professional background that includes business operations, strategy, and P&L management. Before entering the real estate sector, he held significant roles at several high-profile global and Indian brands, such as Vodafone Idea Limited, Reebok, Kodak, and Luxor, where he managed various market phases ranging from rapid scaling to operational restructuring.
