Aurum PropTech Reports 33.37 Crore Net Loss in FY25 Amid Rising Expenses

Aurum PropTech Ltd has reported a consolidated net loss of Rs. 33.37 crore for the fiscal year 2024-25, marking an improvement from the Rs. 55.75 crore loss recorded in the previous year. This financial performance comes amidst a backdrop of rising operational expenses, which have impacted the overall profitability of the company.
Growth in Total Income
Despite the net loss, Aurum PropTech experienced an increase in total income, which rose to Rs. 284.98 crore, up from Rs. 233.07 crore in FY24. This growth was primarily driven by the rental segment, which accounted for 60% of the companyβs total revenue. The rental marketplace, NestAway Technologies, plays a crucial role in this segment by facilitating property owners in finding tenants and managing their properties effectively.
Rising Expenses
The increase in total income was, however, counterbalanced by a rise in total expenses, which climbed to Rs. 329.45 crore from Rs. 309.43 crore in the previous year. Aurum PropTech attributed the higher expenses to various operational costs linked to its diversified business model. This model includes not only the rental marketplace but also Aurum Analytica, a data analytics firm that assists real estate developers in identifying potential buyers, and Sell.do, a sales automation and digital transformation company tailored for the real estate sector.
Focus on Profitable Growth
Despite the reported losses, Aurum PropTech has reiterated its commitment to achieving profitable growth. The company has demonstrated a consistent performance over the past four years since its inception in April 2021. With a workforce of over 650 employees, Aurum PropTech is expanding its presence across 15 cities in India, positioning itself as a significant player in the proptech industry.
Outlook for the Future
While the financial results for FY25 indicate challenges, Aurum PropTech's focus on integrating technology solutions within the real estate sector suggests a strategic approach to overcoming these hurdles. The companyβs emphasis on operational efficiency and market expansion may provide a pathway to improved financial performance in the coming years.
Practical Takeaway
For homebuyers, tenants, and investors, Aurum PropTechβs developments signal a growing emphasis on technology-driven solutions in the real estate market. The rental segment's growth indicates potential opportunities for both property owners and renters. Stakeholders should keep an eye on how the company navigates its financial challenges and capitalizes on its diversified business model to foster growth in the proptech landscape.
