Sonu Nigam Sells BKC Commercial Property for ₹18 Crore

₹18 Crore Commercial Deal in BKC
Singer Sonu Nigam has sold a commercial property in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) for ₹18 crore, adding another celebrity-linked transaction to the city's premium commercial real-estate market.
The property is located on the ground floor of Trade Centre, opposite the MTNL Building in BKC, Bandra East.
The commercial unit has a carpet area of approximately 3,082 sq ft and includes two car parking spaces. The transaction was registered in September 2026, with SAA Estate LLP recorded as the purchaser.
Property Bought for ₹14.30 Crore in 2023
Nigam had acquired the same commercial property for approximately ₹14.30 crore in November 2023.
Its latest sale at ₹18 crore represents an increase of approximately ₹3.70 crore, or about 25.9% over the original purchase consideration, before accounting for stamp duty, taxes, registration costs and other transaction expenses.
The latest deal works out to approximately ₹58,404 per sq ft based on the carpet area and registered consideration.
₹1.08 Crore Stamp Duty
The ₹18 crore transaction attracted stamp duty of approximately ₹1.08 crore.
The registered property includes the ground-floor commercial premises along with two basement parking spaces.
BKC Remains Mumbai's Premium Business District
BKC continues to rank among Mumbai's most prominent commercial property markets, housing major banks, financial institutions, multinational corporations and professional-services firms.
Limited commercial supply and sustained occupier demand have helped establish the district as one of Mumbai's most valuable office destinations.
Interestingly, singer Kailash Kher has also recently sold commercial space in the same Trade Centre building, highlighting recent transaction activity within the property.
Sandeep Sadh’s Take:
BKC continues to demonstrate the depth of Mumbai's premium commercial market. Well-located commercial assets with established occupiers can attract both investors and end users looking for long-term presence in the city's core business district.
