Arkade Developers Add ₹5,000 Crore Redevelopment Projects in Western Mumbai

Arkade Developers has added four redevelopment projects across Mumbai's western suburbs with a combined projected turnover potential of approximately ₹5,000 crore.
The projects are located in Malad West, Kandivali West, Kandivali East and Borivali West. Together, they span approximately 45,204 sq m and are expected to create around 15 lakh sq ft of saleable carpet area.
For homebuyers, the development is significant because these are established residential markets where large vacant land parcels are increasingly difficult to find. Redevelopment is therefore becoming an important route for introducing newer housing into existing neighbourhoods.
The projects can also bring modern residential inventory into locations that already have established transport, schools, retail and social infrastructure.
The larger trend is important for Mumbai's housing market. As conventional land availability reduces, redevelopment of older housing societies is increasingly shaping the next generation of residential supply.
Key takeaway: Four new redevelopment projects could add substantial modern housing inventory across established western Mumbai residential markets.
